Insurance Premium Tax Set to Rise

As announced in the June 2010 emergency budget the following tax rate changes will be applicable on and after 4th January 2011:

 
  • IPT rate from 5% to 6%
  • VAT rate from 17.5% to 20%
  • Higher rate of IPT from 17.5% to 20%
